Today we take the time to highlight one of SoderWorld's lovely massage therapists, Jemima Lipari!
Jemima began working with us in June of 2020 and has brought much love and light to our healing sanctuary. Every day she is with us, she arrives with a smile and warm energy that could make anyone's day instantly brighter!
Before joining the team, Jemima had been visiting SoderWorld for nearly a decade. She had first visited on an open house day in 2014 and instantly fell in love with everything SoderWorld had to offer. She has even taken some continuing education classes with us in our academy!
Jemima became interested in massage healing when she was pregnant with her second child. During her pregnancy, she began attending a class where she learned to perform infant massage techniques. She explained that this practice had become a daily essential for her children's well-being. It was at this time that she was drawn to begin her journey in becoming a massage therapist.

Initially, Jemima began training at The School of Holistic Massage and Reflexology in Downers Grove, IL. Throughout her fifteen years of training, she has continued to study with many industry leaders across the country. As an approved continuing education provider, she has also taught classes that focus on Sports Massage, Pre-Natal Massage, and Holding Your Space - an ethical practice. Despite working and teaching, she loves learning new modalities. She is always looking to expand her skill-set to become a better therapist.

At SoderWorld Jemima practices Therapeutic/Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sports Invigoration, Sol Flo, and Pre-Natal Massage. Jemima is also a birth doula and has worked with numerous families during the birthing process for the past twenty years. A birth doula is a professionally trained educator and companion who provides emotional, spiritual, physical, and educational support to expecting and laboring mothers. Due to her doula experience and love for the birthing process, her favorite service to perform is Pre-Natal massage.
Outside of her massage practices, Jemima enjoys musical theater. She even explained herself as a bit of a musical theater nerd. She loves watching, listening, reading, and performing music with her family who also shares this deep appreciation for musical performance and practice. She also has a six-year-old Cunucu pup named Poco whom she loves dearly.
